This Week's Devotion

You Are Unveiled

Jesus was unveiled. Nothing about Jesus was hidden. What you saw was what you got. Jesus was truthful. He spoke only the truth. Not once was Jesus deceptive or illusive. He was who he was. He did what he did. Even when the world didn't believe him, he remained true. He didn't back down. He didn't recant. He didn't change his story. He didn't lie. Jesus was true to God, true to himself, and true to others.

You are unveiled. You are unveiled before God. All people are unveiled before God. As the Psalmist declared there is no place anyone can go that God is not already there (Psalm 139:7-12). The Psalmist decries the idea that anyone can hide anything from God, as if God can't see (Psalm 94:7). But the difference between you and an unbeliever is that you realize you are unveiled before God. As so, you are truthful to God, knowing that every action is witnessed, and every thought seen.
