Most people know the importance of studying scripture, praying daily, and striving to ensure the way they talk and act reflects their faith. Church attendance, small group meetings, and giving are well-known methods of living out faith. These things take time, though. You will commit thirty, sixty minutes, ninety minutes, if not longer, doing these events.

Imagine if one minute a day could do wonders not only for your faith, but for others as well.

The Apostle Paul taught the importance of encouraging one another in their Christian commitment. What if you took 1 minute each day to encourage a fellow church member?

Try this:

  • Gather your church pictorial or register. If you don’t have one, take a minute and write as many names of your fellow church members as you can.
  • Gather their email addresses or cell phone numbers if you don’t have them listed in the register.
  • Once you have that done, take 1-minute every day and send 1 email or text message to 1 person with a word of encouragement.
  • See if you can do this once a day until you have completed your list.

Think about this for a moment. In 1 minute a day, you can practice the teachings of scripture and grow in your faith. And, in that same 1 minute, you may bring the right word that someone in your church may need to hear. If anything, they will appreciate that you thought of them. 1 minute. That’s all.
