Investing in Your Faith Journey

In a world filled with diverse passions and hobbies, people often dedicate precious hours to pursue what they love. From CrossFit champions who train for hours daily to dedicated gardeners tending to their beloved flowers, the spectrum of human interests knows no bounds. These individuals will make sacrifices, whether it's for a trophy, a small financial gain, or the pure satisfaction of doing what they love.

Consider Rich Frowning, a CrossFit champion who dedicates 6 to 7 hours daily to his training. Despite his rigorous schedule, he's driven by the passion for his sport. Matt Frazier, another champion, manages to squeeze in 1 to 2 hours of training each day while holding a full-time job. These athletes exemplify the dedication required to excel in their fields.

Outside sports, countless other examples abound. A young man wakes up early to run 10 miles before military physical training because he loves running. A chaplain spends two hours in his wood workshop every night crafting intricate pieces. These individuals are investing time in their passions, despite their other commitments.

However, there's a unique aspect to the sacrifices made in pursuit of faith. According to the teachings of Jesus, these sacrifices are unparalleled. Jesus urged his followers to take up their cross and follow him, promising a hundredfold return for what they sacrifice for faith. It's a concept that transcends earthly rewards and speaks to the eternal benefits of a deep and abiding faith.

In a world where time is a finite resource, choosing to invest it in faith can be the most profound and rewarding sacrifice of all. As we explore the dedication people show to their passions and hobbies, let's remember that the ultimate investment lies in our faith journey, where the returns are immeasurable and eternal.
