Have you ever had a brilliant idea or a sudden urge to do something, only to find that within seconds, it slips away from your grasp like a fleeting dream? According to research, we have less than a minute to commit an idea or a thought to memory or write it down, or else it vanishes. This phenomenon teaches us something profound about faith and the urgency of responding to God’s call.

In our lives, opportunities to act in alignment with God’s purpose often come as subtle whispers or gentle nudges. Just like those fleeting thoughts, they require swift attention.

Consider times when God urged you to reach out to someone, and you acted to discover the person was in a time of need. Had you not responded to God’s nudge, that person may have suffered worse.

We can dismiss God’s prompting and often do. We are not intending to disobey God, but we are. Sometimes, when God whispers to us, we think to ourselves, “Not now, later.” Unfortunately, we forget. These divine prompts can easily be dismissed or postponed, with our rationalizations taking precedence.

When God nudges us, whether it’s in the form of a small task or a significant spiritual shift, we must not delay. We must act immediately. The urgency to act stems from the understanding that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans are woven with purpose. By embracing the principle of immediate action, we can seize the moment and take part in the unfolding of God’s greater plan.
