Having the faith you want is really simple. It’s not a complicated answer. Yet, so many people struggle to implement the answer to their life.
In fact, having a flourishing Christian life is so simple that writing a blog about it seems foolish. But, with so many people remaining frustrated in their spiritual growth, maybe it needs to be said.
Somehow, we have made Christianity something other than Jesus intended. What did Jesus intend then?
Obedience. Jesus intended obedience.
When he called his disciples, Jesus expected them to obey him.
When Jesus taught what it meant to be part of the Kingdom of God, he hoped people would keep what he taught.
When Jesus commanded his disciples to go places and do things, his intention was that they would execute what he said.
Obedience is the key. Obeying Jesus is the simple method for growing in your spirituality. Keeping the teachings of the Kingdom of God is the proven system for you to develop your faith. Following the commands of Christ is how you take your faith to the next level.
You can try every other method known to humanity and dream up ways that have yet to be tried, but without obedience to Jesus, they will all fail. There is no other way.
As Jesus taught, “Those who love me will keep my teachings.” And, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments, and my Father and I will make our dwelling with you.”
Obedience.
